Gender equality
The University of Konstanz offers targeted career support for women.
Support for (junior) women academics
- Affirmative action povided by the Cluster itsef (Ph.D. and Post-Doc scholarships)
- Ph.D. scholarships (start-up and wind-up funding) and Post-Doc scholarships (start-up funding)
- Grants for career promotion measures (Conferences, Summer Schools, Further Education)
- Grants for travel expenses for accompanying children and partners or babysitters at conferences
- Individual counselling for junior women academics
- Career planning and coaching in connection with the ASDU
- Information and qualification offers, for example in connection with applications for Ph.D. posts and scholarships, for funding opportunities or for core competences
- Support with applications for scholarships for junior women academics with children (Margarethe-von-Wrangell-Habilitation Scholarship; Schlieben-Lange-Scholarship)
- Participation in the state-wide Mentoring-Programme for junior women academics.
Shaping of a gender-fair structure and culture

Service Center “Dual Career Couples”
The University of Konstanz offers advice and support for academic couples and dual-career couples by means of:
- Advice on contact opportunities for previous professional activities
- Cooperation with other universities in regard to opportunities for joint funding
- Contacts of the university with the regional economy and employers in the region
