Model United Nations Campus Group

The Model United Nations student organization at the University of Konstanz was founded in 2004 by students of the Department of Law and participated sucessfully in five Harvard World Model United Nations: 2004 in Sharm-el-Sheik, 2005 in Edinburgh, 2006 in Beijing, 2007 in Geneva, 2008 in Puebla, Mexico, 2009 in Den Haag and 2010 in Taipeh. About 10-20 students of various disciplines meet every week in order to learn more about the goals of the United Nations and to intensively prepare for participation in UN simulations.

The MUN student organization allows those students of the IACM program, who might not have done so during the BA-studies, to participate in those international conferences and benefit from that experience.

In addition, the work of the IACM coordinator as Faculty Advisor (FA) of the student organization allows a good communication and feedback with the BA-students and potential IACM students in Konstanz.

Another advantage is that the conferences increase and keep a high level of international reputation of the University of Konstanz. Furthermore, the exchange with teaching staff and FAs from other renowned universities allows a steady increase of possibilities for cooperation and increases the network surrounding the IACM program.

Konstanz Journal for Politics and Public Administration

The new, electronic students’ journal "Konstanz Journal for Politics and Public Administration" publishes excellent term papers and BA-/MA-theses written by students of the Department of Politics and Public Administration.

Similar to professional scientific journals those papers handed in will be reviewed in a "double-blind review" by graduate students, Ph.D. students and alumni. The journal will be published once a semester and will include 5-8 papers.

The publishers aim at providing students with a platform for presenting brilliant papers and ideas to their fellow students and others interested after being graded by their lecturer. In addition to promoting an exchange of ideas, the journal is intended to motivate students for tracing exciting approaches after having handed in a paper at the end of a semester.
